Madrid, 27 July 2026 – Energy transition infrastructure manager White Summit Capital today announced the appointment of Marie de Lauzon as Operating Partner and Marcus Saxby as Managing Director. They join WSC ahead of WDIF-II’s final close, as the firm continues to build out its investment and operational capabilities.

The two new hires will further strengthen WSC’s ability to source and execute investments while deepening the operational support it provides to portfolio companies, pairing origination reach across Western Europe and the Nordics with hands-on value creation as the firm moves to deploy funds from its mid-market energy transition infrastructure fund WDIF-II.

“We are thrilled to welcome Marie and Marcus to the team,” said Alexander O’Rourke, COO of WSC. “Together, they bring a rare combination of financial expertise, execution experience, operational depth, and hands-on experience in scaling companies that we need as we finalise the deployment of WDIF-II.”

Marie de Lauzon brings over 20 years of experience across investment banking, corporate leadership and operational management. She began her career at Citi in London and Zurich, later serving as chief of staff to the CEO of PwC France and then as CEO and equity partner of a French investment-management firm. In 2014 she moved into operational leadership, joining listed renewable-energy producer Voltalia as Chief Corporate Officer, before becoming Deputy CEO and COO of listed server manufacturer 2CRSi, where she led operations across 12 countries, and most recently Managing Director and COO of Novocarbo, a German biochar and heat-infrastructure company. She also serves as chair of the board of directors of LightOn, the listed generative-AI company. As Operating Partner, Marie will work with WSC’s investment team and portfolio companies to support management teams through growth and value creation.

Marcus Saxby joins as Managing Director within the Investments team, where he will lead the expansion of the team’s origination capabilities and drive investment activity across Western Europe and the Nordics. He joins WSC after more than 10 years at Citi, where he was a Senior Director in Investment Banking and M&A, covering the energy and infrastructure sectors from the Madrid and Stockholm offices. Before Citi, he spent nearly three years at Oliver Wyman, advising clients on strategic and financial matters. Marcus will be based at WSC’s Madrid office.

WDIF-II, which has a target size of €600 million, remains on track for final close by December this year.
